I was this many days old when I found out I could enjoy sweet potatoes. Not that I didn’t want to like sweet potatoes, I know a lot of people like them, I know they are healthy, I like to be healthy, but they just haven’t ever been for me… until today. Not only did I turn the corner on these sweet Ps, I also realized I could be content with a meal that did not have meat.
I have now lived right next door to Power Plant Kitchen for over a year but being that they don’t serve meat in their meals I had never been a patron. Then, today, having returned home from a weekend away, having no meat defrosted, famished from a nonstop work from home day, and in a state of need, I crawled next door for sustenance.
Whatever they are doing at this place, I’m into it. I’m not even sure what the exact meal and side dishes were but they left me a changed human being. Crikey. Wa Wa wee. Baby Jesus. All other sayings.
Food was pretty good, 5 stars.

Amazing vegan kitchen located on Newark Ave, heading downtown! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the BBQ Jerk Chickn with potato salad and fresh greens! The flavors and the textures were just all amazing! They have a large menu of many different items, from lunch to dinner and even desserts. There is not much space to dine in. I was lucky that there were two tables available, so I enjoyed my food inside. The parking nay also be difficult to find, however there is local street parking. The owner was also a charm and very pleasant. I highly recommend this place for vegans or if you just want to try something new.

i really liked this place. mac and “cheese” was really good. so was their “chicken nuggets” i would recommend. please come to this place, it’s very tasty! also i recommend trying the grind watermelon juice. it was the best juice i’ve ever had in my 12 years. 10/10 place 😋

So, listen, firstly, I love this place. I appreciate the fresh healthy vegan meals available so close to home. For the most part, the food is on point and really delicious, whether or not you're vegan. Everything is fresh and beautiful and well-prepared. However, I have to agree with another reviewer regarding the salt level in some of your dishes. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's particularly the ones with BBQ sauce that could use a lot less salt - I'd honestly cut it in half. Pink Himalayan salt contains the same amount of sodium per gram as table salt. If you're someone who has higher BP, you will feel it after eating some of the BBQ items. The dishes are fresh and delicious, and don't need salt to enhance or hide anything, so a little less would go a long way. Thank you for reading.

This is the only Vegan Restaurant that uses healthy ingredients such as avocado oil in place of canola oil vegetables, soy oil and sunflower oil. They use fresh veggies and focus on your dietary concerns. I've been a Conscious eater since 1997 and have eaten at most vegan places and they did not focus on health first. They are not supposed to be using soy oil, vegetable oil or canola oil, they are not good for your body, arteries nor overall health. Short cuts for profit is what is taking place at these so called vegan establishments and they are lucky I don't call them out. Eater beware. I am not getting paid to congradulate this place, I commend them for great food, and proper ingredients that makes conscious eating different from any other food source you intake. I will keep going back for more healthy food that don't do harm to my body.

I've been on their meal plan for several weeks now and it's been transformative. The meals are super filling and satisfying, delicious and my chronic acid reflux seems to have disappeared. Sam, the owner, goes above and beyond to answer questions, etc. The 2nd time I went to pick up my meals, the woman at the counter addressed me by name! This has been exactly the kind of experience I love about small businesses ❤️ (though I feel bad that Sam seems to answer every text and email)

Every time I order and grab food it's fresh hot and delicious. Especially most plant based meals are few and far between. They have the best in town.
